The Story
I built Cloud PDF App because I was tired of the same pattern: you find a free PDF tool, upload your file, and then — sign up first. Or: “You've used 3 free conversions this month.” Or worse: your document silently sits on some company's server indefinitely. These are basic tasks. Nobody should have to pay $15/month or hand over their files to get them done.
I'm a solo developer from India, building under the PapaSiddhi label. I wanted a PDF toolkit that just works — no account, no paywall, no server in the middle. So I built it as a side project. One tool became five, five became twenty-five. It turned into a real product.
The privacy promise isn't a policy — it's the architecture. Every operation runs in your browser using open-source JavaScript libraries. There is no backend receiving your files. I literally cannot see your documents even if I wanted to. That was the goal from day one, and it will stay that way.

How It Works
Cloud PDF App is built with Next.js and React. All PDF processing happens client-side using open-source JavaScript libraries: pdf-lib for creating and manipulating PDFs, PDF.js for rendering and text extraction, jsPDF for generating new documents, mammoth.js for Word conversion, and xlsxfor Excel parsing. When you upload a file, it goes into your browser's memory — not to a server. The JavaScript runs locally, transforms the file, and hands the result back to you. The page itself is a static export served from a CDN; there is no application server processing your requests.
